Gallegos Paces Blue Hose at Women's National Championship

Adrian, Mich. – Jaslynn Gallegos led the Presbyterian College women's wrestling team on Friday at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship with a perfect 3-0 mark including a pair of pinfall wins to advance to the semifinals of the 116-pound bracket on Saturday at Adrian College.

NOTABLES
- Gallegos opened the day with a 23-second pinfall victory which was followed up by a seven-second pinfall for her quickest pinfall win of the season.
- She continued her strong performance on Friday with a 10-0 technical fall victory to advance to Saturday's semifinals. Gallegos is slated to face Felicity Taylor from McKendree in Saturday's semis.
- Morgan Norris, in the 143-pound bracket, opened the day with a 53-second pinfall victory which was followed up by a 1:54 win via pinfall. Norris suffered a setback with a tight 7-5 decision in the quarterfinals. She earned a 2:32 pinfall victory to advance in the consolation bracket on Saturday.
- In the 109-pound bracket, Cassandra Lopez fell in her opening match by the score of 10-2 before battling back with a 2:07 pinfall victory. She added a 4:08 pinfall win before an 8-0 defeat.
- Isabella Badon (123), Lillian Humphries (130), Haven Pennington (130) and Michiko Yoshimitsu (136) all earned victories in each bracket on Friday.
