Blue Hose Wrap Up Buccaneer Classic Led by Boteler's Top 10

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team wrapped up the Buccaneer Classic on Tuesday with a ninth-place finish led by sophomore Sarah Boteler with a T10 showing to pace the Blue Hose. The two-day, 54-hole event is being hosted by Charleston Southern on the par-72, 6,185-yard Crowfield Country Club in Charleston, S.C… 

Charleston Southern maintained its lead of the event with a 309 on Tuesday to take the team title by six shots over Western Carolina. Caroline Engelbredt of Charleston Southern took the individual championship with a 220 (+4) for the event. 

Notables
- Boteler finished her second round on Tuesday with a par on the last hole to post a -2 (70). It's her second round under par of the fall as she posted a two-under 69 in the Golfweek Fall Challenge.
- The Blue Hose sophomore rounded out the event with a final round of 78 that saw Boteler add a pair of birdies to her tournament along with nine pars. She finished the event in a tie for eighth at +12 with a cumulative score of 228.
- She was one of three golfers that posted 10 or more birdies in the event. Boteler was tied for second among the field with her 10 birdies. 
- Lextyn Petz recorded a final round of 83 with 11 pars in the round. Petz had eight straight pars from the 17th hole thru the 6th hole which helped lead to a +3 on her front nine. She finished tied for 41st with a score of 252. 
- Freshman Mariana Polakova finished her second round with a score of 85 as she tallied a birdie on the sixth hole on Monday before the weather suspended play. In Polakova's final round, she finished with an 84 with eight pars. Polakova finished 43rd with a score of 254.
- Taylor Reaves posted a final round of 88 with five pars as she finished 44th for the event with a score of 255.
- Sofia Carles finished the event with an 86 on Tuesday as she had four pars on her inward nine en route to a tie for 47th finish in the event with a score of 257.
- Playing as an individual, Kelli Kragh posted a birdie on her final hole of the event the par-four 17th, and added five pars en route to a final round of 82. Kragh finished in a tie for 45th with a score of 256. 
- Boteler's top ten finish on Tuesday marks the second for her of the fall season and the third as a team as both she and Polakova finished tied for ninth at the Elon Invitational.

PC closes out the fall slate beginning on Monday, October 24th at the Terrier Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford. The 54-hole event is set to be played at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg.
