Boteler Leads PC in Second Round of Big South Championship

NINETY SIX, S.C. – Freshman Sarah Boteler posted a three-over 75 to lead the Presbyterian College women's golf team on day two at the Big South Championship at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, South Carolina. Presbyterian recorded a second-round total of 316 a six-shot improvement from day one.

High Point is leading the Championship after the second round with a score of 596 overall in the championship. Campbell's Anna Nordfors and High Point's Danielle Suh are co-leaders for the individual title both shooting 144 thus far.

Notables

Boteler tallied a birdie on the third hole en route to her second-round total of 75. The Blue Hose freshman dropped four shots off of her first round and sits in a tie for 22nd after 36 holes.
Boteler is tied for third in the field among par five scoring average at two-under thru the first two rounds.
Senior Caroline Martin totaled three birdies and nine pars on her way to a 78 in her second round improving 12 shots from her opening round. Martin ranks in a tie for 51.
Senior Taylor Gardner finished her second round with an 80 sitting in a tie for 42nd in the Championship standings.
Freshman Sofia Carles tallied eight pars and a birdie on her way to second round 83. Carles sits in 50th after Thursday's second round.
Sanders Hinds totaled eight pars to record a second-round score of 84.
