CLINTON, S.C. – Senior Keyli Gomez of the Presbyterian College women's cross country team has been selected as this week's Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week. This past Sunday, Gomez paced the Blue Hose women's cross country team with a personal record run at the Big South Championships.
 
The Doral, Florida native set a personal record with a time of 19:31.4 in the women's 5k at the Big South Championships at Green Hill Park in Salem, Virginia. This season, she has enjoyed her best cross country season with her best season opener, course bests at Queen City Invite and USC Upstate and USC Upstate Invite while setting two collegiate PRs. She was Presbyterian's fastest runner in four of the team's five races this season.

Since her freshman year, she has consistently been in the top two PC runners for almost every Cross Country race. Starting her Junior year, she advanced to the number one runner on the team. This season, she is the team captain. She is the 8th fastest 5K Cross Country runner in PC school history.
 
In her standout career at PC, Gomez holds four school records in the Indoor 3000m, Outdoor 1500m, Outdoor 3000m and Outdoor 5000m. Because of this her peers, teammates, teachers, and the athletic department have repeatedly titled her, "PC's Queen of the Track".

As a freshman, she raced during the difficult COVID year, having a short cross country season in 2021 followed immediately by a track season where she broke the 3000m school record. She would break her own 3000m record again in 2022. In that season, she would also shatter the Outdoor 5000m school record by 40 seconds in a meet at Georgia Tech. In Spring 2023, she broke both the Indoor 3000m record and Outdoor 1500m school record.

The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement last November as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.
