CLINTON, S.C. – Friday evening will mark the final home appearance for three decorated Presbyterian College women's wrestling seniors, hosting their last dual of the 2023-24 slate tomorrow night at Templeton versus Emory & Henry. Isabella Badon,
Sierra Marie Miller, and
Morgan Norris will all be recognized in a pregame ceremony prior to tomorrow's contest with the Wasps at 7:00 PM, a trio that has played a pivotal role in the program's conquest to the nation's elite.
Currently the # 15 team in the country according to the latest NWCA rankings based on four nationally-ranked victories, PC brings a 7-6 resume with them to tomorrow's matchup before returning to the bracket system on Sunday in Georgia.
The action will be streamed on ESPN+ when the Blue Hose go head-to-head with E&H, looking to improve to 4-0 when competing on their home turf since the start of the campaign.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – EMORY & HENRY
- After numerous visits to Virginia for the Wasp Open, Presbyterian faced off with Emory & Henry for the first time 11 months ago and promptly picked up a decisive 35-5 victory on the road. Fast forward nearly a full year, and the visitors from the Commonwealth State hold eight dual wins to their name and have defeated their last two foes by a combined clip of 38 points.
- E&H got the better of Greensboro (35-5) and Lincoln Memorial (26-18) in their last couple of one-on-one meetings, surpassing the 30-point threshold in seven out of their 12 appearances to this point.
- Friday will be just the third true road encounter for the Wasps, who downed Liberty (34-10) and fell to Mount Olive (34-14) in their other features away from home base.
ROBERT HORTON OPEN BACKGROUND
- Quickly approaching the end of the regular season that has been mostly categorized by dual showings, the Blue Hose will participate in Emmanuel's annual tournament on Sunday after dominating the fray at the event last winter.
- While the Lions currently hold a 10-4 record prior to their own set of meetings on Saturday opposite King and Allen, PC ventured to their Southeast Region rival in January of '23 and assumed 15 individual wins and four placements of either gold or silver.
- However, only one of the six wrestlers that appeared in that tourney are available for head coach
Brian Vutianitis' crew, seeing a dramatic reshaping from a roster that finished 9
th nationwide due to numerous graduations and injury complications.
LAST TIME OUT
- Presby's unflinchingly-challenging schedule reared its head once more last weekend as the Blue Hose were forced to take on # 3 King and Campbellsville (# 7 in the NAIA poll) within a 24-hour window. Neither of those results went PC's way, slowing the squad's momentum from three top-10 triumphs at the NWCA National Duals in the first half of the month.
- In total, nine grapplers have reached at least 10 wins for Coach V's unit since November, led by
Alyssa Mahan's 19 as well as 18 apiece by
Cassia Zammit (130) and
Charlee Shuler (116).
- The Blue Hose have scattered 51 pins throughout the seven-win trail, not to mention 39 extra by 10 points or better which automatically led to a technical fall victory.
