CLINTON, S.C. – Becoming the Presbyterian College women's soccer team's all-time goals leader in the Division I era (spanning back 18 years) last Friday, senior striker Sloan Spees has been selected as the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week.

During an eventual 2-2 draw against Winthrop in what was the last home match of the calendar, Spees delivered her 17^th career goal in the 25^th minute. That officially sent her past the previous record-holder, Sara Simpson (who held the mark since 2013).

It was the third goal of the fall for Spees and her eighth point altogether, now with one game left in what's been a sensational Blue Hose tenure.






 
CAPTAIN SPEES

 
- A native of Georgia, Sloan matched the all-time goal record back on September 4 in a Senior Night victory over Alabama A&M. It was the lone goal of the contest, occurring in the 62^nd minute.

- Since then, the record-breaker was anticipated with each remaining match. She moved to number one all-time in her last-ever game at Martin Stadium, a true storybook moment for a player who has been named All-Big South three times.

- Spees has produced 39 points since her freshman season in 2022, combining for over 3,900 minutes and appearing in 61 matches.

- Not only has she now broken the PC scoring record, but she has done the same to the shot-on-goal record as well. With one game left in her Clinton career, she has stacked up 80 on-target attempts.


 
LOOKING AHEAD

 
- Presbyterian will conclude the Big South slate on Wednesday afternoon against Charleston Southern, the only conference team who they couldn't compete with last year due to Hurricane Helene.

- ESPN+ will have live coverage of tomorrow's tussle, beginning at three o'clock.

- The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One – an official team dealer for Adidas – on a multi-year apparel agreement in the fall of 2022. PC's partnership with Adidas began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.

- Game One is among the country's largest and fastest-growing sports equipment and apparel suppliers, serving a loyal customer base of 13,000 schools and organizations in 38 states.
