CLINTON, S.C. – Following the conclusion of the 2024-25 tennis season, College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its annual Academic All-District Team. Presbyterian College women's tennis standouts
McKenzie Davis and
Valentina De Sousa earned a spot on the prestigious list, recognizing their exceptional achievements on the court and in the classroom.
Â
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must compete in at least 90 percent of their team's matches and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. First-year students are ineligible due to experience requirements.

McKenzie Davis
Junior | Florence, SC
Political Science | 4.0 GPA
Â
Davis appeared in all 20 matches for the Blue Hose this spring, finishing with a 9-11 singles record. She notched six victories at the number two position and added three wins at the number one slot.
Â
Her 2024-25 campaign was historic, as she became just the third player in program history to earn First Team All-Big South Singles honors and the third Blue Hose student-athlete to be named Big South Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year. This is her second straight selection to the Big South All-Academic Team, and she was also a two-time Big South Player of the Week during the regular season.
Â
Off the court, Davis continues to set the academic standard at PC. As a perfect 4.0 student, she has been named to the President's List four times (Fall 2022, Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Fall 2024) and has earned back-to-back selections to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.
Â
In doubles play, Davis teamed with
Mary Ellen Longmire to post an 11-3 record, including an impressive eight-match winning streak. The duo earned four wins at the number two spot and seven at number three. Their 13 doubles wins each tie for the third-most in a single season in program history and mark the first time a Blue Hose player has reached that mark since 2019.

Valentina De Sousa
Senior | Caracas, Venezuela
Business Administration | 3.76 GPA
Â
De Sousa closed out her collegiate career with a 10-11 singles record, leading the team in total singles victories. She earned one win at both the number two and four positions, and recorded eight wins at the number three slot. De Sousa is now the only PC player to amass at least eight singles wins at the number three slot.
Â
In doubles action, De Sousa picked up five victories, all at the number one position.
Â
Academically, the senior has maintained a spot on the Dean's List and was named to the Big South All-Academic Team in 2023 and was an ITA Scholar Athlete in 2024.
