SCOUTING McMURRY
- It hasn't been smooth sailing for the War Hawks in the program's first-ever women's wrestling season, as head coach Lance Brown and co. are still in search of their inaugural win.
- McMurry and PC have appeared in the same tournament on more than one occasion, both at the Red Lady Open in Alabama and in the NWCA National Duals (although that particular bracket is split up between divisions).
- Considering that it's the War Hawks' first go, their roster is made up entirely of true freshmen minus one athlete. In Cedar Falls last weekend, McMurry was defeated by Bethany, Illinois Wesleyan, Western New England, and Schreiner (who PC pummeled by 35 points earlier in the year).
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Hose have been a brutally tough opponent for everyone that has stood in their way this season, displaying one of the most balanced lineups in America as they look to finish in the national top ten for the fourth consecutive time.
- PC clinched 5
th place at the NWCA National Duals six days ago with a five-point triumph over Colorado Mesa and a seven-point decision over Lindenwood. It was the second win for Presby this year against both clubs.
- Sophomore
Kassey Daugherty (131) has taken a massive leap in 2026, going into the McMurry dual with an eye-popping 20-match winning streak. She was named the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday.
- A handful of PC's win percentages are simply off the charts, including third-ranked
Chloe Dearwester (110) who has been defeated only once in 18 attempts.
- Another impressive number comes from newbie
Kaylie Hall (160), who sits at 19-3 with seven pins and five technicals.
Alyssa Mahan (number four in the NWCA poll) is also 19-3, achieving her 75
th career win as a junior during the Iowa tournament.
