Presbyterian Wins Fourth Straight In 36-Point McMurry Whipping

CLINTON, S.C. – The sixth-ranked Presbyterian College women's wrestling team soared past McMurry University in their last home outing of the season, assembling a 42-6 victory on Sunday afternoon to push their overall dual record to 17-3.

PC showed consistent strength yet again by claiming four of the five non-forfeited bouts. Head coach Brian Vutianitis' crew has posted a 13-1 record since December 17, eclipsing the 40-point mark for the 10th time this year versus McMurry.

Highlights from the Blue Hose include junior Charlee Shuler – who needed just 38 seconds to pin her opponent in weight class 124 – as well as sophomore Kassey Daugherty, the seventh-ranked 131-lb. wrestler who has now won 21 consecutive matches.

Freshman Elizabeth Donovan scooped not one, but two victories on Sunday: a 10-0 technical fall in the standard dual and an additional pin in just under 90 seconds during the exhibition round.

During the event, Maddie Kubicki and Alyssa Mahan were recognized for a incredible accomplishment over the weekend as they both competed at the Grand Prix De France and won gold and silver medals, respectively.
