Blue Hose to Pennsylvania for 6-vs-9 Dual at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The final dual of the 2025-26 season is a huge one for the sixth-ranked Presbyterian College women's wrestling team, prepping for their eighth encounter with a top-10 opponent tomorrow as they face Lehigh.

Starting at 7:00 and streaming live on Flo, PC will clash with a first-year program that has immediately entered the national conversation. The two sides have combined for 31 dual victories at this stage of the season.

The Blue Hose have endured one of the country's toughest schedules and have more than held their own, boasting two wins over perennial top-10 placer Colorado Mesa along with other notable W's against #5 King and #8 Simon Fraser.

Head Coach Brian Vutianitis will aim for another marquee win on Friday, with his club posting a 13-1 dual record since mid-December.

Tomorrow's battle may include two matches between top-five wrestlers in their respective weight class (110/117 or 131).

SCOUTING LEHIGH

- It's been quite the debut year for the Mountain Hawks under the direction of Head Coach Brazel Marquez, losing just once in 15 attempts with that lone defeat coming to the reigning national champs: top-ranked Iowa.

- 110-pounder Audrey Jiminez is the #1 wrestler in her class thanks to a perfect 12-0 record this winter. She could match up with PC's Chloe Dearwester, who ranks fourth in that same poll with an 18-1 ledger herself.

- Elsewhere on Lehigh's roster, Aubre Krazer is another undefeated individual who ranks #2 in the 131-lb. group. She is 17-0 and could be squaring off with seventh-ranked Kassey Daugherty, who is perhaps Presby's hottest wrestler with an active winning streak of 21 matches.

- PC would've been facing a 14-0 team tomorrow had it not been for Iowa's intervention back on the 18th, as the Hawkeyes gave Lehigh their first loss by a commanding 37-7 difference.

- Friday will be Lehigh's third-ever home dual. They have won their 14 encounters by an average margin of 23 points.

- The Mountain Hawks also took 3rd-place as a team at the Pennsylvania Collegiate State Championships last weekend, a tournament in East Stroudsburg where Abbi Cooper (117) won an individual title.

LAST TIME OUT

- Presbyterian has been forced to wait an extra six days to get back on the mat following a 42-6 beatdown over McMurry, as they intended to enter a tournament at Emmanuel last weekend but inclement weather canceled the event.

- The Scotsmen secured at least 40 points for the 10th time this winter in their last appearance 11 days ago, winners of their last four duals overall and 13 of the last 14.

- After claiming six All-Americans and finishing in the national top-10 for the third consecutive season, PC is poised to make another run at a Southeast Region Championship and even further glory down the road.

- Just before Presby's dominant showing versus McMurry, juniors Maddie Kubicki (145) and Alyssa Mahan (124) achieved gold and silver medals at the Grand Prix De France.

- Incredibly, every single one of PC's 27 wrestlers has calculated at least one pin this season. Dearwester leads the way in that department with 12 falls, followed by two freshmen – Elizabeth Donovan and Jenna Anderson – who have logged 10 apiece.

- Daugherty has recorded 18 technicals in just her second season to rapidly climb up the individual leaderboard, while Carina Giangeruso and Isabella Gretzinger have both found 10 tech's themselves.
