CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team will open its 2026 spring campaign at the Oyster Shuck Match Play, hosted by The Citadel on Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 9-10, at Charleston Municipal Golf Course.
Sloane Spessard, Maddie Peake, Taylor Reaves, Addy Parker, and Emma Louise Hunt will compete for Presbyterian in the spring opener.
Last year, the Blue Hose placed seventh in the event. Maddie Peake picked up a match play victory over Samford for Presbyterian. The Blue Hose also played the event in 2017 and 2022. PC's best finish in the Match Play is fourth in 2017.
OYSTER SHUCK MATCH PLAY

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Oyster Shuck Match Play event will feature tournament match play in a bracket-style format with all rounds counting and the winning team in each head-to-head match advancing. The Blue Hose will open play Monday against Youngstown State.
LAST TIME OUT
- Presbyterian secured its best finish in the team's fall finale at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate, placing second. The runner-up finish is the highest the team has had since the Blue Hose came in second at Bright's Creek Intercollegiate on Feb. 24-25, 2024.
- Maddie Peake was PC's highest finisher at Fripp Island, coming in third place. The third place finish is the best of her career.
- Sloane Spessard recorded her first career top 10 at Fripp Island, finishing in a tie for ninth. Taylor Reaves and Emma Louis Hunt also recorded their highest finishes of the fall.
BLUE HOSE ROSTER
This is the first full season as the head coach of the women's golf program for Columb Knight. Knight, a 2024 graduate of PC, achieved numerous milestones as a player, including ranking seventh in PC's Division I era with a career stroke average of 74.93. His 2025-26 squad includes four returners, including Maddie Peake, Sloane Spessard, Taylor Reaves, and Emma Louise Hunt. Gabi Carles and Addy Parker highlight the freshman class for Coach Knight.

The Blue Hose will return to action the following week at the Rivertowne Intercollegiate, hosted by Charleston Southern on Feb. 17-18 in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
