BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team is back for the final time in September, playing in the Elon Invitational at Alamance CC on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 14-15.
Sloane Spessard, Maddie Peake, Chloe Scofield, Addy Parker, and Caitlyn Gaines will tee it up for Presbyterian at Elon.
This will be the 7th time that the Blue Hose appeared in the Elon Invitational. Presbyterian's best result in the event is a sixth place finish in 2021. Last season, Peake led PC at Alamance CC, posting a career-low 69 in the opening round to finish T16.
This will be Gaines' first tournament as a member of the Blue Hose.

LAST TIME OUT
Maddie Peake and Sloane Spessard led the Blue Hose to start the season this past week at the Golfweek Intercollegiate, tying as the team's best finishers with a total score of 228. As a team, Presbyterian finished in 21st place, completing the tournament with a three-round score of 930.
Overall, Spessard led the team in birdies in the event, making nine total. Peake ranked second on the team in birdies made, producing five.
BLUE HOSE ROSTER
Head coach Columb Knight enters his second full season as the head coach of the women's golf program. A 2024 graduate of PC, Knight achieved numerous milestones as a player, including ranking seventh in PC's Division I era with a career stroke average of 74.93.
This year's team is highlighted by four returners. Senior Maddie Peake, junior Sloane Spessard, and sophomores Addy Parker and Gabi Carles highlight the returners. Joining the Blue Hose this year are freshmen Maddie Fox and Chloe Scofield as well as sophomore transfer Caitlyn Gaines.

The Blue Hose get the rest of the month off before returning on Oct. 12-13 to play in the Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford.
