PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team completed its second round of the Golfweek Intercollegiate on Monday afternoon (Sept. 7) at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
Maddie Peake and Sloane Spessard turned in PC's best scores of the second round, shooting 74 and 77 respectively. As a team, the Blue Hose are in 20th place with a total score of 615.
NOTABLES
- Maddie Peake fired a 74 to card Presbyterian's low round of the day. Starting on the back nine, Peake shot a +1 par 37 before completing her round with another 37 on the front. She made two birdies on the day, birdying the seventh and sixteenth holes. She was one of the highest risers on the leaderboard, moving up 18 spots to sit in a tie for 71st.
- Sloane Spessard tied Peake with the most birdies on the day for PC, finishing her round with two. She birdied the par-three sixth and eleventh holes, playing the par threes on the course -2. She finished round two with a 77 and is T63 heading into the final round.
- Chloe Scofield stayed consistent for Presbyterian, turning in 78 for the second straight round. She opened with eight straight pars to begin day two, finishing the round with 13 total. She moved up two spots on the leaderboard and is T100.
- Addy Parker made 10 pars on Monday to card an 84. She made par on five of her first six holes and is two shots back of Scofield going into Tuesday. She finished the day T102. Finally, Gabi Carles concluded her second round with a score of 93. Her round included birdying the par-five eighth hole.
