BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team finished its second tournament of the fall, concluding play at the the Elon Invitational on Tuesday (Sept. 14) at Alamance Country Club.
Sloane Spessard delivered in all three rounds for the Blue Hose, leading the team with a T14 finish. Chloe Scofield was also terrific for PC, finishing in 24th place.
In the final round, Addy Parker carded a new career-low, turning in a 73 to finish T32
As a team, Presbyterian concluded the event in a tie for ninth, finishing with an overall score of 906. Elon swept both the team title and the individual crown (Lilli Downer).
NOTABLES
- Sloane Spessard turned in another impressive performance on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in a tie for 14th. She made a team-high five birdies in her final round en route to a 73. For the tournament, she led the way for Presbyterian with 11 birdies. She took advantage of the 18th hole both days, finishing the hole -2 for the event. Overall, this is Spessard's third career top-15 finish. She also posted top-15 finishes last year at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational and the Fripp Island Intercollegiate.
- Chloe Scofield also had a great week for the Blue Hose, coming in 24th place for the tournament. She improved in every round, finishing with a final round 73. She was dominant on the front nine on Tuesday, shooting -2. She birdied holes two, seven, and eight. For the week, she finished tied for second on the team in birdies with eight total. She birdied holes eight and sixteen twice.
- Addy Parker shot a new career-low in the final round on Tuesday, firing a +1 par 72. She birdied holes one, eight, ten, and sixteen, carding a 36 on both the front and back nine on the final day. Her previous career best was a 74 in the opening round of the Golfweek Intercollegiate last week.
- Maddie Peake finished the Elon Invitational with a total score of 239, finishing T60. She made three birdies for the week, scoring on holes fifteen, seventeen, and eighteen. In her final round, she made 10 pars.
- Caitlyn Gaines wrapped up her first career start for Presbyterian, finishing in a tie for 71st. On Tuesday, she carded two birdies, bringing her total for the week up to six. She had her way with the fourteenth hole, finishing an impressive -2.

The Blue Hose get the rest of the month off before returning on Oct. 12-13 to play in the Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford.
