Presbyterian College baseball returns from the final exam
break for a three-game series this weekend on the road against Winthrop. The league set gets underway on Saturday with
a day-night doubleheader which starts at 3:30 p.m. The second game is slated to start at 7
p.m. A Sunday matinee will close out the
weekend starting at 2 p.m.
Mack Hite leads the Blue Hose batters at the plate with a
.325 batting average. Kenny Bryant,
however, has had the hot bat of late to raise his batting average to .288. The first baseman is on a 12-game hit steak
which ties him for the longest this season with Tony Micklon.
Micklon and Aaron Preston share the team lead in home runs
with four long balls each. Jesse Harmon
will toss the first game while Chis Powell is scheduled to pitch in game
two. On Sunday, Joe Hammond will take to
the mound.
