Presbyterian College pounded out 11 runs off 18 hits, which included a four-RBI day by Tony Micklon (Sumter, S.C.), and held 13 Eagle runners on base to take the 11-5 win over North Carolina Central in baseball action this afternoon at the PC Baseball Complex

The Blue Hose won their fourth game in a row to improve to 8-6, while NCCU dropped to 1-12.

After Troy Marrow reached base in the top of the first inning for the Eagles, he scored when Carter Williamson doubled to right field, giving North Carolina Central an early 1-0 lead.  That would be the only lead the Eagles would have as the Blue Hose spotted 10 runs over the next two innings to storm out to a 10-1 advantage.

Highlighting the two-inning outburst was a two-RBI double in the first by Gabe Grammer (Irmo, S.C.), as well as a RBI double by Micklon.  In the second inning Micklon collected his second and third RBI of the game with a home run to centerfield.

After the Eagles plated a run in the top of the third, PC responded in the bottom with its 11th and final run of the game after Micklon carded his fourth RBI with a single to drive in Grammer, who reached on a double to left field to start the inning.

North Carolina Central scored a run in the seventh and two in the ninth but never threatened as PC took the 11-5 win.

Following Micklon with his four-for-four day with four RBI, was Grammer who went three-for-four with two RBI.

Williamson led NCCU, going three-for-five with one RBI, as the Eagles posted 14 hits on the game.

Buck Mosteller (Woodruff, S.C.) pitched 5.0 innings, and gave up two runs, one earned, off nine hits for the win, his second (2-0).  Sam Fulmer went 1.1 innings, and gave up nine runs for the loss (0-2).
