CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (0-3) heads to Furman (1-2) on Tuesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. matchup in Greenville, S.C.

The Blue Hose will look to grab their first win after dropping a three-game series to No. 11 Georgia over the weekend. PC nearly took a win in the second game, coming within one out before a two-run double gave Georgia a walkoff victory on Saturday, 5-4. Tony Micklon (Sumter, S.C.) leads the team at the plate, posting a .400 average (4-10) and two runs batted in over the first three series.

The PC nine will take on the Paladins in the 86th meeting between the two
sides. The Blue Hose trail in the all-time series, 36-48-2, after splitting the two meetings last year. PC took the first game in Clinton on March 10, 11-4, before falling to the Paladins in Greenville on April 6, 9-6. Brad Zebedis (Rock Hill, S.C.) went four-for-seven against Furman last season, driving in five RBI. Andrew Williams (Augusta, Ga.) posted four hits in nine at-bats and tallied four RBI over the two games as well.

Furman opened the season at home against Miami (Ohio) in a three-game series. The Paladins took the first, 10-2, but dropped the next two on Friday, 8-2 and 12-11. Will Owens leads the squad with a .500 average (6-12) and Will Miller ranks second with a .429 average (6-14) with two home runs and seven RBI.

PC hits the road for its next three-game series this weekend at Mercer. The first game is slated for 4 p.m. on Friday in Macon, Ga.
