Trailing 20-17, PC cut the margin to one, 21-20, off a Hall kill, and was able to get that close again at 23-22, but a Blue Hose service error and Lakatos kill sealed the 25-22 UNCA win.

The Blue Hose cut the margin to three on several occasions, including 24-21, off another Hall kill, but it came to little too late as Meredith Fosters' kill on set point gave UNCA the 25-21 win.
UNC Asheville opened up a 12-5 lead in the third set until the Blue Hose used kills by Hall and Lena Gavin to make it a four-point, 16-12, set. A block by Berryman and Frank made it a four-point set again at 18-14, but that would be as close as PC would get as the Bulldogs went on a 7-2 run to close out the set, taking the 25-16 win.
