CLINTON, S.C. – Senior Elyse Hutchinson and juniors Julia Yurkovich and Celimar Hoyos of the Presbyterian College volleyball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday (Dec. 16).
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Hutchinson, Yurkovich, and Hoyos all met the strenuous criteria that is required to be considered for the prestigious list.
This is the second straight year that Hutchinson and Yurkovich have earned CSC Academic All-District honors. This is the first time that Hoyos has been named to the team.
To be considered for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, must have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's matches (regular season and postseason), and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Biology Major
Hutchinson delivered another strong year for the Blue Hose in her senior campaign. She appeared in 24 matches for the Blue Hose overall, making 22 total starts. She finished second on the team in total blocks with 81 on the year, ranking fifth in blocks per set in the Big South with 0.98. She led the team in hitting percentage at .255 percent, setting a new career-high. She also tied for the team lead in block assists with 73 for the year.
Julia Yurkovich | Jr. | Outside Hitter | Landenberg, Pa.
Business Administration Major
Yurkovich had a career-year for the Blue Hose in her third season with the program. She led the team in kills (262) and points (288.5) on the season while ranking among the best in the Big South in both categories. She finished the season ranked 8th in the league in kills, averaging 2.73 per set in 96 total sets played in 2025. She also ranked 8th in points, averaging 3.01 per set.

International Studies Major
Hoyos made strong contributions to the Blue Hose this season. She appeared in 25 matches and 83 sets for Presbyterian. Overall, she ranked third on the team in service aces with 15 on the year. She also finished third on the team in digs with 152, averaging 1.83 per set. Against Furman, she recorded a career-high 10 assists.
