Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team opened Big South play with a doubleheader split with Radford on Saturday at the PC Baseball Complex. PC earned a 7-1 win in game one before Radford picked up a 9-3 win in game two.

- In game one, Eric Miles tossed 6.1 innings allowing three hits and one earned run as he racked up a career-high nine strikeouts to get the victory.
- Miles moved into a tie for second in the Blue Hose D1 Record Book with his 15th career victory on Saturday.
- Jake Rice in game two threw a career-high seven innings allowing four hits and one earned run as he struck out a career-high seven.
- Guimbarda moved into a tie for ninth in the Blue Hose D1 Record Book with his 14th career home run.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME ONE
- PC got the offense going in the fourth as Jimmy Marcelli knocked a single back up the middle to score Andrew Livingston and added a sacrifice fly off the bat of Zacchaeus Rasberry to make it 2-0 Blue Hose.
- Johnny Cook added to the offense in the fourth with his first career homer to make it 4-0 PC.
- The offense was more than enough for Presbyterian's game one starter Eric Miles who racked up nine punchouts while allowing just three hits and one run in 6.1 innings.
- Radford got on the board in the seventh with a bases loaded walk to make it 4-1.
- PC responded with three runs in the seventh highlighted by a pair of runs scoring on a Highlander error.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME TWO
- Radford opened the scoring in the third with an RBI single to make it 1-0.
- The guests extended their lead in the sixth with a solo home run to put it at 2-0.
- The Blue Hose got on the board in the seventh with an Ashby Smith RBI double followed up by a Rob Greco RBI single that tied the game at two apiece.
- The Highlanders retook the lead in the eighth with an RBI single and scored one more run off of a PC fielding error to make it 4-2.
- Radford extended the lead in the ninth with a bases loaded walk followed up by a grand slam to make it 9-2.
- Guimbarda added his team-high fourth home run in the ninth before Radford finished off the 9-3 victory.
