Box Score EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Despite the second double-double of the day from sophomore Trinity Williams, the Presbyterian College volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-21) to Purdue Fort Wayne at the Cougar Classic on Friday afternoon. Both teams are now 4-8 on the season.

Notables
- Â After picking up her first collegiate double-double in the Blue Hose win over Central Arkansas earlier in the day, Williams registered a match-high 12 kills and 10 digs against the Mastodons.
- Sophomore Erin Cooke ended up just shy of her second double-double of the day, notching eight kills and 12 assists. Cooke also hit .538 in the contest, the highest hitting percentage by a PC player in 2019.
- Junior Caroline Henderson added a season-best nine kills.
- Senior Erin Eulitz dug up a match-high 21 balls, her second straight match with 20 or more digs, and third of the season. She also tied her career-high with five assists.
- Junior Sierra Jones paced the Blue Hose with 13 assists, and also added five digs.

How it Happened
- Presbyterian held a 5-2 edge early in the first set, but Purdue Fort Wayne used a 10-5 run to climb in front, 12-10. With the set deadlocked at 13-13, the Mastodons scored the next five, sparking a 12-3 run to close out the set.
- The second set featured eight ties, with the last one coming at 15-15. Purdue Fort Wayne broke the deadlock with a 5-1 run, which provided enough of a margin for the Mastodons to take a two-set lead.
- PC opened up a 5-1 advantage to begin the third set, then tacked on a 6-0 run to extend the margin to eight, at 12-4. Purdue Fort Wayne than mounted a rally to even the set at 16-16. The Blue Hose held a 20-19 edge, but the Mastodons tallied six of the final seven points to clinch the match.
