Gallegos Leads Blue Hose At Tornado Open

Bristol, Tenn. – Jaslynn Gallegos earned an individual title at the 116-pound weight class to lead the Presbyterian College women's wrestling team at the Tornado Open on Sunday afternoon in Bristol, Tenn. Cassandra Lopez and Morgan Norris both earned third place finishes in their respective weight classes and Adelyhda Perez picked up a fourth place finish.

NOTABLES
- Jaslynn Gallegos earned a technical fall victory to open the tournament on Sunday against Adrian College. She advanced to the finals with a 1:09 falls victory against the Lions Wrestling Club. Gallegos picked up the individual title with a 9-7 decision in the 116-pound weight class.
- Cassandra Lopez dropped her opening match by a 12-1 technical fall, while bouncing back with a falls victory at 1:09 and 1:08 respectively to pick up third place in the 109-weight class.
- Morgan Norris opened her match at the 143-pound weight class with a falls victory at 4:08. After an 8-6 setback, she battled back with a 4:34 falls victory to advance to the third place match where she picked up an 8-0 decision to finish in third.
- Adelyhda Perez picked up three wins to finish in fourth in the 136-pound weight class.
- Isabella Badon, Lillian Humphries and Madajah Trapier each earned victories in their respective weight classes.
