CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team has had its schedule altered to its non-conference weekend series with UConn with a Saturday doubleheader set for the Blue Hose and Huskies beginning at 11 am. The series finale is set for a noon first pitch.

• Senior Tannor Byrd connected on a pair of homers as Wofford defeated Presbyterian College baseball team 23-5 on Wednesday night at Russell C. King Field in Spartanburg, S.C.
Rankings
• Tannor Byrd leads the Big South with three homers, while Kyle Merkle is tied for second with a pair of long balls.
• Zacchaeus Rasberry sits in third in the Big South with seven stolen bases. He is also tied for third in the league with four doubles.
• David Sweat is tied for sixth in the Big South with five stolen bases.
• Eric Miles sits in fourth place in the league with 18.2 innings pitched on the season.
Series History
• PC holds a 2-1 all-time record against UConn with the only prior series taking place back in 2013 in Clinton. The Blue Hose earned wins by the score of 6-4 & 5-4 to take the series from the Huskies in 2013.
Scouting UConn
• UConn enters the weekend with a 4-5 record following dropping two-of-three against New Orleans in the most recent action. The Huskies do have three victories over Michigan who was No. 1 at the time of two of those three victories.
• At the dish, UConn is led by Erik Stock who is 8-for-14 on the season, while Kyler Fedko checks in with a .441 batting average and Reggie Crawford sits at .400 with seven doubles and 13 RBIs both team-highs.
• On the mound, Nick Krauth leads UConn with a perfect 3-0 record and a 0.51 ERA entering the weekend which is top 50 nationally. Krauth has 18 strikeouts in 17.2 innings pitched.
• Kenneth Haus out of the Huskies bullpen is 1-0 with a 1.08 ERA as he has allowed one earned run in 8.1 innings.
• As a team, UConn leads the AAC in doubles per game at 2.33 which is top 20 in the nation entering the weekend.
Home Runs
• Tannor Byrd with his Wednesday home runs now has three homers in his last three games.
• It was Byrd's second multi-home run game of his career and the first by a Blue Hose since last May when Jonathan White had two long balls against Charleston Southern.
• It was Presbyterian's first multi-home run game since May 18th when PC hit four in a 15-6 win over Charleston Southern.
• Byrd has three of Presbyterian's conference-high eight as Freshman Kyle Merkle has hit a pair of homers, while Chase Hughes, Hunter Grover and Landon Shaw each have one as well.
Record Chasing
• Senior Eric Miles needs 23 strikeouts to move into third in the Blue Hose D1 record book. Miles currently sits with 189 career strikeouts.
• With his next victory, Miles becomes the Blue Hose D1 record holder for wins with his 22nd victory.
• Senior Zacchaeus Rasberry needs five stolen bases to move into a tie for first in the Blue Hose record book. Rasberry has 30 career stolen bases.
2020 Preseason Honors
• Eric Miles and Zacchaeus Rasberry both were selected to Perfect Game's Preseason All-Big South Team.
• Perfect Game selected the Blue Hose fifth in its preseason poll
• The Big South Conference Coaches selected PC fifth in the 2020 preseason coaches poll.
• DI Baseball selected Presbyterian fifth in their preseason poll as well.
