Wrestling Opens Season Friday at Limestone

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's wrestling team opens its 2021 season on Friday night with a 7 pm dual against Limestone. The Blue Hose also are slated on Sunday to head to the Emmanuel Women's Invitational.

About the Meet

The Blue Hose are set to open the 2021 season on Friday as they head to Gaffney to take on Limestone.
Presbyterian is 2-0 all-time against the Saints as it earned a 38-11 victory in the Blue Hose home opener last December. PC also traveled to Gaffney in February and earned a 34-9 decision.
PC also on Sunday is slated to head to the Emmanuel Women's Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College.

Previewing the Saints

Limestone enters Friday night's dual with a 1-1 record after picking up a 28-10 victory last time out against Ferrum. The Saints suffered a 36-5 defeat against Colorado Mesa earlier in the day.
Freshman Leidaly Rivera earned a pair of tech fall victories over both Ferrum and Colorado Mesa for her first two collegiate victories.

Last Time Out

Friday's match is the first time PC has had any wrestlers on the mat since last March when Jaslynn Gallegos and Morgan Norris finished in the top five at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship.
Gallegos finished fourth in the event, while Norris placed fifth.
