Men's Wrestling Travels to Boone for SoCon Championship

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team has eight wrestlers set to compete in the 2021 Southern Conference Men's Wrestling Championship on Sunday at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, N.C.. The championship is slated to begin at 10 a.m. with the finals set for a 7 p.m. start on Sunday night.

About the Dual

Presbyterian is set to send eight wrestlers to the SoCon Championship on Sunday over eight different weight classes.
The competition is set to begin at 10 a.m. with the championship finals set for 7 p.m..
Campbell won its second consecutive title in 2020 with five individual champions and a total team score of 117 points to earn the championship.

Last Time Out

The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team opened a busy week with a 27-12 victory on Monday night over Emmanuel College at the Shaw Athletic Center.
Bernardino Gomez, Dominic Chavez, Jacob Brasseur, Reid Stewart and Bryton Goering all earned victories in the match against Emmanuel.

COVID-19 Protocols

Due to COVID-19 protocols and adherence with local and state guidelines, there will be no general ticket sales at the SoCon Wrestling Championship. In addition to the teams, essential staff, workers and administrative personnel on site, a maximum of 13 student-athletes and three coaches per team are permitted to request two non-transferrable tickets each for immediate family members. A clear-bag policy will be in effect at the Holmes Convocation Center. The championship will be streamed in its entirety on ESPN+.
