CLINTON, S.C. – After completing a full season without a single loss to a Southern Conference opponent, 184-pounder Reed Douglass of the Presbyterian College men's wrestling team has been named the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week.

While the Blue Hose were not able to pick up the team win against VMI on Monday, Douglass improved to 7-0 in league appearances with a 22-5 technical fall over Andrew Barford.

As the postseason looms, Douglass may be the coveted number-one seed in the SoCon Championship Tournament for his weight class. Should he win the 184-lb. title next weekend, he'll advance to the NCAA National Championship bracket.






 
REED WRESTLES RIGHTEOUS

 
- Presbyterian's leader in overall win percentage throughout the winter, Douglass acquired his 26^th career victory against VMI and now owns a 13-4 mark in his fourth season at PC.

- A New York native, Reed published three technicals against SoCon foes (margin of 15 points or greater). He also defeated two league opponents by major decision (margin between eight and 14 points).

- Douglass returned from an injury-riddled season last year and was quickly Presby's most productive performer, becoming the first Blue Hose to ever win a singular match against SoCon powerhouse Appalachian State when he bested Joe Zovistoski by 15-5 MD.

- Should he win the conference tournament title, Douglass would be the first PC men's wrestler in history to advance to the NCAA's. The SoCon Championships will take place in Asheville on March 6 and 7.


 
GAME ONE

 
- The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One – an official team dealer for Adidas – on a multi-year apparel agreement in November of 2022. PC's partnership with Adidas began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.

- Game One is among the country's largest and fastest-growing sports equipment and apparel suppliers, serving a loyal customer base of 13,000 schools and organizations in 38 states.
