LANCASTER, Pa. – Following an ultra-long waiting period that has surpassed an entire month without an official match on the calendar, the Presbyterian College men's wrestling team makes its long-awaited return to the mats on Friday morning in a revisit to the campus of Franklin & Marshall. Instead of three straight duals like their prior trip, however, they'll enter the tournament format as participants in the F&M Open.
Opening round bouts of the event will take place at approximately 9:00 AM, the second and final time until postseason territory that the Blue Hose will feature in the bracket system.
Under the guidance of head coach
Mark Cody – the program's visionary since the early days of its creation – Presbyterian has already encountered a difficult schedule with two months of the season in the dust. They've locked horns with NC State (a top five club nationwide) and Michigan State in past meetings, looking to recapture a bit of mojo after dropping their four most recent clashes.

LAST TIME OUT
- As previously mentioned, PC is no stranger to the site of tomorrow's tourney. Their last engagement 33 days ago came at the same venue in Pennsylvania as they took on F&M, Bloomsburg, and Sparty for a triple-header all the way back on December 3.
- The Blue Hose were unsuccessful in their quest for a W on that particular afternoon, settling for an individual W from the likes of
Ryan Luna,
Morvens Saint Jean,
Trenton Donahue, and
Nathan Carnes.
- Friday's backdrop will provide Cody's crew with the chance to shake off the cobwebs so to speak, continuing a lengthy stretch of non-home appearances on the 2024 docket. Thus far, Presby's singular head-to-head triumph came against Sacred Heart (November 17), a 29-21 result that saw seven lead changes and a PC win in three of the final four matchups on hand.
F&M OPEN DETAILS
- PC brings in the new year with their second consecutive entry into the F&M Open after similarly lugging the unit up north to the same site 12 months ago. On that day – in the infant stages of 2023 – 13 different wrestlers stepped into the fray, ending in 19 wins overall.
- Twenty-eight other universities will litter tomorrow's field as Presby aims for a higher mark than their previous stay in the Keystone State, the 12
th edition of the F&M Open after starting its annual tradition before the Blue Hose had gone ahead with the formation of the program.
- Doubling up on classes 165, 197, and 285, Presbyterian will send 10 to the mats on Friday as they continue their path towards the start of Southern Conference action in the near future.
