Brian Vutianitis with their best-ever preseason ranking earlier this week, naming PC as the #5 team in the nation.
- This comes after an 8

- Backing up their lofty preseason hype, six wrestlers were ranked inside the top ten of their respective weight class, led by sophomore
Maddie Kubicki (145) who enters this season at #3 in her group.
-
Cassia Zammit (another second-year rising star) clocks in at 5
th in class 131, while
Paige Wehrmeister looks to bounce back from an injury-riddled 2024 as the #6 competitor in class 138.
-
Alyssa Mahan (124),
Henlee Haynes (180), and
Ella Beam (207) were all penciled in at #8 in their classes, bringing PC to a tidal wave of anticipation for the new season to be ushered in.
- Last season, on a roster that was made up almost fully of new faces, the Blue Hose sported a wrestler who came in third-place or better 28 times in tournament play. A PC grappler took home a gold medal 11 times last season, while also defeating four nationally-ranked schools in a dual setting.
