HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers got off to a hot start with their first offensive pitch being hit out of the park to quickly give Clemson a 1-0 lead.
- Presbyterian answered in the top of the third inning starting with a single by
Jack Gorman before
Brody Fahr doubled to right center field which put Gorman on third. This was when
Joel Dragoo hit a sacrifice fly to send Gorman home and put Fahr on third base, tying the game up at 1 apiece.
- Not long after,
Noah Lebron reached on a fielder's choice while Fahr's speed allowed him to score PC's second run of the day and take a 2-1 lead.
- Clemson was able to tie up the game once again after another home run over the left field wall in the bottom of the third inning.
- The score didn't stay tied for too long with Clemson bringing one home in the bottom of the fourth.
- After leading 3-2 for a while, the Tigers broke away in the seventh inning when the bases were loaded. First, they picked up a walk to bring in one run before a grand slam giving them an 8-2 lead.
- The Blue Hose held Clemson scoreless the rest of the game, but were unable to pick up any runs themselves, ending the game with a final score of 8-2.
