The Blue Hose had a tough run against the George Washington Revolutionaries in their three-game series last weekend. On a better note,
Eli Lazio hit his first homer of the season over the left field wall in the bottom of the second inning of game two against GW.
ABOUT THE BLUE HOSE
- PC has tallied a 9-11 record so far this season with wins over St. Peter's (x4), St. Joseph's, St. Bonaventure (x2), Jackson State, and Memphis.
- The team has recorded a .248 batting average and a 3.78

Joel Dragoo leads the Blue Hose offense with a .491 batting average over his 65 at bats so far this season. He has also tallied 29 hits, 19 runs, 30 RBIs, and a .846 slugging percentage (six doubles, a triple, and six home runs).

Brody Fahr plays a key role for the Blue Hose as well. He has put up a .379 batting average over his 66 at bats while earning 21 runs, 25 hits, 16 RBIs, and a .530 slugging percentage (five doubles, one triple, and 1 homer).
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- Clemson enters the Wednesday's game with a 17-2 record with wins over Xavier (x3) Presbyterian, Kennesaw State (x2), USC Upstate, South Carolina (x2), Kansas State, UNCG (x3), Manhatten (x2), and Duke (x2).
- The team has a batting average of .296 and an ERA of 4.03.
- Cam Cannarella is a strong threat offensively with a batting average of .329 over his 79 at bats with 26 hits and 17 runs.
- The Tigers are under the direction of second year head coach Eric Bakich.
PRESBYTERIAN – CLEMSON SERIES
Wednesday will mark the 17
th time that these two teams will have met since Presbyterian joined the Division I rank in 2008. The two teams faced off earlier in the season when Clemson came out on top with an 8-2 win despite a close first six innings. Clemson leads the all-time series 12-4.
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY AWARDS
- The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball player's
Joel Dragoo,
Daniel Eagen, and
Tristan McGregor all earned Big South honors for their performances throughout the first week of the 2024 baseball season. Dragoo was awarded with Player of the Week, Eagen was named Starting Pitcher of the Week, and McGregor earned Freshman of the Week.

Tristan McGregor earned his second Big South Freshman of the Week award on March 4 following his efforts against St. Bonaventure.
OPENING SERIES SWEEP
The Blue Hose swept their season opening four game series against the St. Peter's Peacocks. PC's home opener was on Friday, February 16 where they beat the Peacocks 10-2. The following day, the series continued with a double header containing two seven inning games. In the first game the Blue Hose won 16-6 before winning game number two 16-1. The final game of the series was played on that Sunday where Presby won 16-3.
2024 PRESEASON HONORS
- Infielder
Brody Fahr and RHP
Tanner Smith were named to the league's preseason all-conference team as selected by the league's coaches.
- After his performance last season, Fahr was named to the second-team all-conference as an infielder where he capped off one of the best seasons in the Blue Hose DI program history.
- Smith earned an honorable mention award from the coaches around the league for his efforts last season.
- Smith was also named to the NCBWA Preseason Stopper of the Year Watchlist.

Daniel Eagen is the No. 1 Big South top prospect for the 2024 draft.

A LOOK AT THE 2024 SLATE
- Closing out the month with eight more games on the road, PC will once again face Clemson at Fluor Field on March 20 before opening up conference play with a three-game series at Longwood from March 22-24.
- A trip to the University of South Carolina will mark the second SEC matchup of the season on March 26.
- The Blue Hose close out March with a trip up to North Carolina to battle Gardner-Webb from March 28-30.
- In the month of April, after traveling to Atlanta, Ga. to face Georgia Tech, PC will spend a majority of their time at home with games against Radford (April 5-7), Western Carolina University (April 9), Winthrop (April 12-14), and USC Upstate (April 26-28).
- Presbyterian also has contests at Wofford (April 16) and High Point (April 19-21).
- PC will travel to Charleston, S.C. for a trio of games against Charleston Southern from May 3-5, before returning home for a game against Wofford on May 7.
- The Blue Hose will play against the Citadel in a three-game series, starting in Clinton on May 10-11 and then moving to Charleston, S.C. for the final game on May 12.
- The final road match of the regular season will be on May 14 against Western Carolina followed by the final home series against UNC Asheville from May 16-18.
- The 2024 Big South Baseball Tournament will be played at Truist Point in High Point, N.C. The four-team tournament will determine the Big South's automatic bid recipient to the NCAA Championship which will be held Thursday-Saturday, May 22-26.
