The Blue Hose concluded their series against St. Bonaventure last weekend after a 13-inning game where Presbyterian came out on top with a 5-4 victory. Joel Drago tallied four hits and a run,
Ryan Ouzts put up three hits, one run, and an RBI, while
Jay Wetherington recorded four hits and two RBIs. 13 innings marked the longest game since PC beat UNC Asheville at the PC Baseball Complex after 14 innings back in April of 2021.

ABOUT THE BLUE HOSE
- PC has tallied a 7-5 record so far this season with wins over St. Peter's (x4), St. Joseph's, and St. Bonaventure (x2).
- The team has recorded a .306 batting average and a 4.11 ERA.

Joel Dragoo leads the Blue Hose offense with a .538 batting average over his 39 at bats so far this season. He has also tallied 21 hits, 16 runs, 27 RBIs, and a 1.154 slugging percentage (six doubles and six home runs).

Brody Fahr plays a key role for the Blue Hose as well. He has put up a .514 batting average over his 37 at bats while earning 16 runs, 19 hits, 14 RBIs, and a .757 slugging percentage (four doubles, one triple, and 1 homer).
- Tristian McGregor has pitched in 9.2 innings for the Blue Hose where he has tallied a 1.80 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, 13 strikeouts, and a 2-0 record.
Daniel Eagen has also pitched 9.2 innings where he was put up a 1.86 ERA, a 1.03 WHIP, 19 strikeouts, and a 1-0 record.

SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
- Western Michigan enters Tuesday's game with a 6-5 record with two wins over Michigan and four wins over Pepperdine.
- The team has put up a .325 batting average and a 6.04 ERA on the mound.
- Senior infielder Cade Sullivan leads the team with a .457 batting average over his 46 at bats. He has racked up 21 hits, 15 RBIs, four doubles, three homers so far this season.
- Senior RHP Nolan Vlcek has pitched 11.o innings for the Broncos where he has recorded a 1.64 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP, 16 strikeouts, and one save.
- The Broncos are under the direction of head coach Billy Gernon who is in his 14
th season with the team.

PRESBYTERIAN – WESTERN MICHIGAN SERIES
These two teams have only met once since Presbyterian joined Division I back in 2007. On March 7, 2023 the Blue Hose beat the Broncos 17-11 here at the PC Baseball Complex to lead the all-time series 1-0.

BIG SOUTH WEEKLY AWARDS

Tristan McGregor all earned Big South honors for their performances throughout the first week of the 2024 baseball season. Dragoo was awarded with Player of the Week, Eagen was named Starting Pitcher of the Week, and McGregor earned Freshman of the Week.

The Blue Hose swept their season opening series against the St. Peter's Peacocks last week with an impressive 4-0 record throughout the weekend. PC's home opener was on Friday, February 16 where they beat the Peacocks 10-2. The following day, the series continued with a double header containing two seven inning games. In the first game the Blue Hose won 16-6 before winning game number two 16-1. The final game of the series was played on that Sunday where Presby won 16-3.

2024 PRESEASON HONORS
- Infielder
Brody Fahr and RHP
Tanner Smith were named to the league's preseason all-conference team as selected by the league's coaches.
- After his performance last season, Fahr was named to the second-team all-conference as an infielder where he capped off one of the best seasons in the Blue Hose DI program history.
- Smith earned an honorable mention award from the coaches around the league for his efforts last season.
- Smith was also named to the NCBWA Preseason Stopper of the Year Watchlist.

Daniel Eagen is the No. 1 Big South top prospect for the 2024 draft.

A LOOK AT THE 2024 SLATE
- After Western Michigan visits Clinton on March 5, PC will head to Memphis, TN for three more road games from March 8-10 against Jackson State, Memphis, and Butler.
- The Blue Hose then return to S.C. for a game in Charleston on March 12 against the Citadel.
- Their last home stretch of the month will be against George Washington University from March 15-17.
- Closing out the month with eight more games on the road, PC will once again face Clemson at Fluor Field on March 20 before opening up conference play with a three-game series at Longwood from March 22-24.
- A trip to the University of South Carolina will mark the second SEC matchup of the season on March 26.
- The Blue Hose close out March with a trip up to North Carolina to battle Gardner-Webb from March 28-30.
- In the month of April, after traveling to Atlanta, Ga. to face Georgia Tech, PC will spend a majority of their time at home with games against Radford (April 5-7), Western Carolina University (April 9), Winthrop (April 12-14), and USC Upstate (April 26-28).
- Presbyterian also has contests at Wofford (April 16) and High Point (April 19-21).
- PC will travel to Charleston, S.C. for a trio of games against Charleston Southern from May 3-5, before returning home for a game against Wofford on May 7.
- The Blue Hose will play against the Citadel in a three-game series, starting in Clinton on May 10-11 and then moving to Charleston, S.C. for the final game on May 12.
- The final road match of the regular season will be on May 14 against Western Carolina followed by the final home series against UNC Asheville from May 16-18.
- The 2024 Big South Baseball Tournament will be played at Truist Point in High Point, N.C. The four-team tournament will determine the Big South's automatic bid recipient to the NCAA Championship which will be held Thursday-Saturday, May 22-26.
