CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team continues to shine, securing two additional Big South Conference Weekly Honors in their impressive list of achievements this season.
Daniel Eagen has clinched his second consecutive and third Big South Starting Pitcher of the Week award, while
Joel Dragoo has proudly earned his second Big South Player of the Week title.

With these latest achievements, the Blue Hose have amassed an impressive total of seven weekly awards this year, equaling the record set by the 2021 and 2023 teams for the most Big South Conference Weekly Awards.

DANIEL EAGENÂ - CO-STARTING PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Eagen showcased his pitching prowess in the opening game against Radford, dominating for seven innings. With this stellar performance, he extended his season record to an impressive 3-0 following a well-deserved 4-2 victory. Notably, Eagen achieved a new career milestone by racking up an outstanding 14 strikeouts during his time on the mound. His dominance on the mound was evident as he limited opposing batters to a mere three hits, one earned run, and a .130 batting average over his 7.0 innings of work.

This season, Eagen has emerged as a standout performer for the team, boasting a remarkable 1.56 ERA and an impressive tally of 65 strikeouts, leading the pitching staff. Across his 34.2 innings pitched and facing 132 batters, Eagen has exhibited exceptional control, allowing just 22 hits and six earned runs while holding opposing hitters to a .179 batting average.

JOEL DRAGOO - PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dragoo showcased his consistency and impact as he started in all four games for Presbyterian this week, delivering an impressive performance at the plate. Across 14 at-bats, he tallied six hits, resulting in an impressive .429 batting average for the week. His offensive contributions were significant, driving in six RBIs and scoring three runs to make PC successful during the week's matchups. Additionally, Dragoo displayed patience and discipline by drawing two walks, leading to a notable .471 on-base percentage, and also notching a stolen base.

Furthermore, Dragoo's offensive prowess was highlighted by his three doubles in the last four games and a notable home run against the Yellow Jackets. His consistent ability to reach base has been a cornerstone of his season, having now reached first base at least once in all 32 games for the Blue Hose.

Dragoo's impact on the field has been undeniable this season, starting in all 32 games for Presbyterian and showcasing his prowess with a team-leading .387 batting average. His consistency is reflected in his 41 hits over 106 at-bats, contributing to his impressive 29 runs scored. Additionally, Dragoo's offensive output has been exceptional, as evidenced by his 79 total bases and a remarkable on-base percentage of .507.

On the base paths, Dragoo has been a threat with five stolen bases, adding another dimension to his game. His power hitting has been a standout feature, with 12 doubles, a triple, and an impressive eight home runs, leading to a team-best .745 slugging percentage. Dragoo's all-around performance has been instrumental in Presbyterian's success this season, making him a key player to watch on the field.
