CLEMSON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team wrapped up their competition at the Clemson Invitational on Monday, August 26, completing two rounds of play. Freshman
Sloane Spessard made an impressive collegiate debut, leading the team throughout the event.

In the opening round, the team posted a score of 316 (+28), improving slightly in the second round with a score of 311 (+23). Their combined two-round score of 627 (+51) placed them 16th overall in the tournament standings.

Clemson, the host team, secured third place with a two-round total of 577 (+1). Meanwhile, Georgia Southern claimed the tournament title with a score of 572 (-18). Georgia Southern's Louise Reau topped the individual leaderboard, finishing with a two-round score of 137 (-7).

Sloane Spessard finished the tournament tied for 47
th place after a two-round score of 152 (+8). In the second round, Spessard hit for a score of 74 (+2) while hitting for birdie twice and for par 12 times.

Maddie Peake hit for par nine times and for birdie twice in both the first and second rounds to place tied for 60
th with a two-round score of 155 (+11).

Sarah Boteler who competed as an individual. She hit for par 14 times in the second round which gave her a score of 77 (+5). Boteler finished the day with a two-round score of 155 (+11)

Sofia Carles finished the tournament with a two-round score of 159 (+15), landing her tied for 79
th place in the rankings. In both rounds of the day, Carles hit for par 10 times and for birdie once.

Lextyn Petz tied for 87
th place after a second-round score of 80 (+8) where she hit for par 10 times and for birdie once. She finished the tournament with a two-round score of 161 (+17).

Taylor Reaves rounded out the Blue Hose roster tied for 92
nd with a two-round score of 164 (+20) after hitting for 11 pars and one birdie in the second round.
