MANHEIM, Pa. – The Presbyterian College women's wrestling team – fresh off its third consecutive national top-ten finish in the spring – has been selected #5 in the preseason NWCA Coaches Poll.

Champions of the Southeast Region and placing 6th in the country at Nationals back in March, the Blue Hose will send seven ranked wrestlers to the mat when they begin a new season on Saturday, November 1.

The 2025-26 season will be the first for Women's Wrestling under the NCAA banner, becoming the organization's 91st championship sport.

Dearwester began her college career last winter by breaking a school record right off the bat, starting 19-0 on her way to a final mark of 23-4. A master of the technical fall, she earned a silver nod at Regionals and won her first two matches at Nationals with a 10-0 tech and 53-second pin.

Mahan was another 2nd-place regional winner en route to a final record of 26-10. She went on a seven-match winning streak during her sophomore round, winning three in a row at Nationals to be named an All-American. Alyssa has won 58 matches overall in only two seasons, finishing in eighth place for class 124 last spring.

Giangeruso was Presbyterian's highest placer at Nationals, coming in 4th and achieving that incredible feat as a rookie. She led all Blue Hose wrestlers with 33 victories and only five losses, going on two separate 10-match winning streaks and ending her first year with a win percentage of 87. She defeated nine wrestlers from a nationally-ranked school, winning five times at the final tournament of the season. She clinched the 4th-place nod with an 85-second pin and two 10-0 technical's.

Kubicki is the only active Blue Hose wrestler to earn All-America plaudits in consecutive years. She battled back from early injuries last winter to finish 23-6, winning by fall 16 times and going 19-2 over a two-month stretch. Maddie finished at #6 in the national bracket, beating nine foes from nationally-ranked teams.

Cuyler was yet another sensational PC freshman last year, winning four individual championships in regular-season tournaments and posting a 26-5 personal record. She was 19-1 after the first two months of the campaign, claiming the regional title with a 10-0 tech and later becoming an All-American.

Haynes overcame injury complications that lingered throughout the regular season and finished strong when it mattered most. She pieced together a 10-3 record over the final month, snatching Gold at Southeast Regionals to give her 41 combined victories after two years.

Aiono ranked third on Presby's roster last time out with 27 W's, collecting 16 pins and starting her collegiate career 9-1. She landed a bronze prize at Regionals thanks to two sub-60-second falls, qualifying for the National Tournament along with 13 other teammates.
