CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team opened their spring season on Monday and Tuesday, competing in three rounds at the Oyster Shuck Match Play, hosted by The Citadel.
MATCH PLAY
The Oyster Shuck Match Play featured eight teams of five players competing head-to-head, with points awarded for each individual victory. Presbyterian faced Samford in the first round, falling 3-1. While Samford advanced to the winner's bracket, the Blue Hose moved to the consolation bracket to take on Longwood. After a loss to Longwood, PC faced tournament host The Citadel in an 18-hole match on Tuesday. The Blue Hose defeated The Citadel to secure a seventh-place finish.
ROUND ONE RESULTS VS SAMFORD
Despite
Maddie Peake's 2+1 victory over Samford's Christian Williams and
Taylor Reaves' draw against the Bulldog's Grace Engel, Samford was able to take a 3-1 victory and move on to the winner's bracket. With PC unable to get the win they would go on to compete in the consolation bracket in the next round.

Lextyn Petz came up big with a win over the Lancer's Ester Choi, but ultimately Presbyterian fell 3-1 and was sent to compete for seventh place in the final round.
