Sean Hollister and key hits fromÂ

Entering the game in the top of the eighth with the score tied 2-2, he delivered a dominant performance, striking out five batters while allowing no hits or runs. HOLY HOLLISTER
Before the start of the 2025 baseball season, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its 20th annual Preseason Stopper of the Year Watchlist, highlighting 76 of the nation's top relief pitchers. PC senior RHPÂ
Sean Hollister earned a place on the prestigious list following his standout performance last season. Hollister made 26 appearances during the 2024 season, logging 42.0 innings on the bump. He recorded 43 strikeouts, notching multiple strikeouts in 12 games. A season highlight came on April 21 against High Point, when he set a career high with five strikeouts. Hollister finished the year with a 2.79 ERA and three saves.
Â
The senior went on to prove himself worthy of this achievement early in the 2025 season. Hollister was named Big South Relief Pitcher of the Week on March 11 after his performances in Presbyterian's wins over Wofford and No. 23 Alabama. He picked up two wins in as many appearances last week, posting a flawless ERA across 8.0 innings of work. He opened the week with 3.1 innings of relief in a 4-3 victory over Wofford, allowing four hits but no earned runs. He followed that with a dominant performance against No. 23 Alabama, tossing the final 4.2 innings while limiting the Tide to just one hit and no runs, adding two strikeouts to secure the win.
