Mason McDaniel and a two-run homer from
Nick Smith, the Presbyterian College baseball team (17-28, Big South: 9-12) came up short against Wofford (28-22, SoCon: 5-10), falling 7-2 on Tuesday night at Russell C. King Field. The Blue Hose had previously defeated the Terriers earlier this season in Clinton.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A defensive battle opened the game as Mason McDaniel tossed 3.0 scoreless innings, striking out two and allowing just one hit. Jackson Hugus also made an impact, throwing out a runner at second to erase an early Wofford threat.
- Wofford opened the scoring in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly.
- The Terriers tacked on another in the fifth, taking advantage of a PC error to make it 2-0.
- Nick Smith evened the score in the sixth with a towering two-run blast over the center field wall.
- Wofford quickly answered with a five-run bottom of the sixth to pull away for good.
- Brooks Chamberlin held the Terriers scoreless the rest of the way, but the Blue Hose couldn't generate any more offense down the stretch.
