BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Now that the weather predicament has passed for the Presbyterian College men's wrestling team, preventing them from competing for nearly three full weeks, the Blue Hose return from that slumber on Sunday to face Chattanooga at a neutral site.
Originally scheduled for January 25 in Tennessee, this Southern Conference dual has been postponed on two occasions and will finally be enacted at Campbell University this weekend. The action begins at three o'clock.
PC was last seen in a losing effort at The Citadel and has just three duals left until the SoCon Tournament next month. They are winless in league matches at this juncture (0-5).

SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA
- While the Scotsmen have not been able to compete since the snowstorm that impacted central Tennessee, Chattanooga has only wrestled once themselves in that span (a one-point loss to The Citadel on their home floor).
- The Mocs were beginning to piece together a solid SoCon resume before taking that L, dominating both Gardner-Webb (30-10) and Davidson (43-3).
- UTC faced a seven-point deficit against The Citadel with just two matches remaining, but quickly fought their way back with a 9-4 decision by Ethan Uhorchuk and a 9-1 MD by Hunter Mason.
- That evened up the overall score at 18 apiece, but the Bulldogs were awarded the tie-breaking point due to the fact that Chattanooga did not secure any pins (The Citadel won via fall in the first match of the dual).
- The Mocs are 5-0 against Presbyterian since their first encounter back in 2021. They came to Clinton and blanked the Blue Hose 12 months ago, winning 14 of the 15 non-forfeited bouts against PC in their last two matchups.
LAST TIME OUT
- Held to single digits in each of their last four duals, Presby was on the losing side of a 46-5 count against that same Citadel club in their most recent showing.
- 184-pounder
Reed Douglass could very well qualify for the postseason All-SoCon list after improving to 5-0 in league meetings. He was the lone PC wrestler to win against The Citadel, doing so via 19-4 technical.
-
Ryan Luna (141) has also managed a pair of conference wins himself this year, leading the roster with 35 career victories. He,
Joseph Morris, and
Morvens Saint Jean have all logged two pins since the season began in November.
