CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College women's golf senior Taylor Reaves has been named to the Big South All-Academic Team in honors announced Thursday (April 23) by the Big South Conference.
Reaves had a career year in her final season on the course for the Blue Hose, posting two top-15 finishes. She shot the lowest round of her collegiate career to close out the Rivertowne Intercollegiate on Feb. 17, turning in a -1 par 71 to finish the tournament in 11th place. She also had a strong showing at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate in November, placing T12 and leading Presbyterian to a runner-up team finish.
She finished the year third on the team in scoring average at 78.7. She closed out the season strong at the Big South Championship, ending the tournament in a tie for 18th. Her championship included an opening round 72, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 10th hole.
Reaves' success extends well beyond the course into the classroom. A Business Administration major, she boasts a 3.94 GPA. She has maintained a perfect 4.0 since her freshman year and has earned numerous accolades. This is her third straight Big South All-Academic Team honor. She joins Kristen Cometto, Micah Dowling, and Abby Driscoll as the only other golfers in program history to earn the honor three times in their PC careers. Reaves has also been named a WGCA All-American Scholar twice.
