CLINTON, S.C. – Senior libero/defensive specialist Celimar Hoyos has earned Big South Libero of the Week honors as announced by the conference on Tuesday (Sept. 8).

Hoyos had an outstanding week for the Blue Hose, leading PC to two victories this past weekend at the Furman Invitational.

Hoyos produced 23 digs to begin the week at Wofford on Sept. 1. She followed that with another impressive performance at Furman on Thursday, recording her second career double-double at Presbyterian. Against the Paladins, she delivered 19 digs to go along with 10 assists.

On Friday afternoon, Hoyos logged 15 digs and nine assists, helping Presbyterian defeat North Carolina A&T in four sets in Greenville. She finished the Furman Invitational with 25 digs and nine assists on Saturday, playing a key role in PC's four-set win over Queens.

Overall, Hoyos powers the Blue Hose in digs this season, leading the team with 141 while averaging 5.22 per set. She leads the Big South in both categories. Going into this week, she ranks second in the NCAA in total digs and eighth in digs per set.

This is the second career Big South weekly honor for Hoyos. She was also named the league's Libero of the Week in 2024.

This is PC's first conference weekly honor since the 2024 season.
