CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College women's tennis won every singles and doubles match on its way to a 7-0 home victory over the Newberry Wolves on Saturday afternoon at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

PC improves to 6-2 and will host Georgia Southern on Sunday at 2 p.m. Newberry moves to 5-2.

The afternoon began with the Blue Hose grabbing all three doubles matches. At No. 3, Caroline deLoach (Columbia, S.C.) and Sara McBride (Travelers Rest, S.C.) took care of Kelly McManus and Rebeca Martinez, 8-3. Meanwhile, the top-flight duo of Greer Ransom (Athens, Ga.) and Demi Henschel (Alberta, Canada) bested Vanessa Ortiz and Amanda Carrillo, 8-5, while Claire-Mitchell Andrews (Tampa, Fla.) and Brittany Nuttall (Rivers Academy) completed the sweep by knocking off Elizabeth Williamson and Tara Lamers at No. 2.

In singles action, Ransom took down Ortiz at the top flight, 6-2, 6-1. McBride won over McManus at No. 6 in a 6-1, 6-0 result as deLoach secured No. 5 with a win over Martinez, 6-0, 6-2.

At No. 4, Anderson beat Lamers in twin 6-2, 6-2 sets and Nuttal toppled Williamson at the second flight, 6-3, 6-1. Henschel pushed past Carrillo in a narrow second set to close out a 6-2, 7-5 win.
