ORLANDO, FL.- The Presbyterian College women's tennis team earned two 7-0 wins on Sunday in the first day of Spring Break action in Orlando.
The Blue Hose started the day with a sweep of Montana State Billings. Greer Ransom (Athens, Ga.), Brittany Nuttall (Atlanta, Ga.), Demi Henschel (Alberta, Canada), Claire-Mitchell Andrews (Tampa, Fla.), Caroline deLoach (Columbia, S.C.), and Madison Utberg (Roswell, Ga.) all picked up wins in straight sets.
Ransom and Henschel earned a 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles. Andrews and Nuttall bested the No. 2 team from MSUB, 8-3, and deLoach and Utberg got an 8-5 win at flight 3.
Later in the day, PC swept Mt. Saint Mary's, 7-0. Ransom, Nuttall, Henschel, Andrews, deLoach, and Utberg all stayed perfect on the day and all earned victories in straight sets.
PC also swept doubles competition, as Ransom and Henschel (8-5), Andrews and Nuttall (8-5), and deLoach and Utberg (8-1) all earned doubles wins over The Mount.
The Blue Hose will take on Detroit Mercy and Saginaw Valley State on Wednesday.
