LYNCHBURG, VA.- The Presbyterian College women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 Big South Conference match to Liberty on Sunday afternoon at the Hershey-Esbenshade Tennis Courts.

Presbyterian drops to 12-6 overall and 1-4 in Big South action. Liberty goes to 15-3 on the year and 5-1 in conference play.

Liberty took all three doubles matches from PC to get out to a 1-0 lead. Maria Khval and Brittany Yang beat Caroline deLoach (Columbia, S.C.) and Sara McBride (Travelers Rest, S.C.) 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, Valerie Thong and Evangeline Crist earned an 8-2 win over Claire-Mitchell Andrews (Tampa, Fla.) and Brittany Nuttall (Atlanta, Ga.) at flight 2, and Emily Groeneveld and Belen Rivera defeated Madison Utberg (Roswell, Ga.) and Antonia Conze (Willich, Germany) 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles, Crist got a win in straight sets over McBride at line four, 6-1, 6-0, Nicola Wellman beat Utberg 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5, and Khval earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Andrews at line two.

Rivera bested Nuttall at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4, Yang beat deLoach 6-4, 6-3 at line five, and Lauren Mabe knocked off Conze at No. 6, 6-2, 6-2.
