The Blue Hose fell to the Furman Paladins on the road Wednesday evening.
Anna Baranski took her eighth straight double-double behind 37 assists and 16 digs, while
Hannah Rowe totaled 11 kills and 19 digs, claiming her fifth double-double of the year.
Courtney Williams tallied seven kills in the first set alone, finishing with a career-high of 16 kills while hitting at .364 percent.

A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
- The Blue Hose currently hold a 3-8 record, securing their wins in hard-fought five-set matches against Delaware State, Temple, and Southern Miss.
- The team has a .172 hitting percentage while averaging 10.2 kills per set. They've shown strength at the net, amassing 102 total blocks, averaging 2.0 blocks per set.
- Three players have tallied triple-digit kills this season, with sophomores
Julia Yurkovich and
Courtney Williams leading the team with 118 kills. Senior
Hannah Rowe is close behind with 109 kills, adding depth to the offense.
- Junior setter
Anna Baranski has been instrumental, totaling 365 assists (7.30 per set) while also leading the team defensively with 161 digs (3.22 per set).

Courtney Williams anchors the Blue Hose at the net with 46 total blocks, 10 of which are solo efforts.
Brittney Daphnis is a close second, adding 44 blocks, including six solo blocks.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – VALPO
- The Beacons have taken a 6-3 record so far this season with wins over SIUE, IU Indianapolis, Northern Illinois, Tarleton State, and Miami (Ohio).
- Over their first nine matches, Valpo has tallied a .177 hitting percentage with 13.34 kills per set. They have also been a threat at the service line, amassing 71 aces compared to their opponents 35.
- Offensively, senior outside hitter Elise Swistek leads the team with 106 kills (3.03 kills per set). She is also second on the team with 143 digs (4.09 digs per set).
- Junior setter Addy Kois has totaled 186 assists (5.29 assists per set) while sophomore setter Mara Thomas is just a hair behind with 185 (5.31 assists per set).
- Defensively, junior libero Emma Hickey leads the team with 194 digs (5.54 digs per set).
- Valpo head coach Carin Avery is in her 23
rd season at the helm of the Beacons.
- The Beacons lead the all-time series between the two teams 1-0 with the only battle occurring during the 2010 season where Valpo won in three sets.

- SC State currently has a 1-5 record with their only win coming from Mississippi Valley State.
- The Bulldogs have recorded a .084 hitting percentage while averaging 8.0 kills per set.
- Junior outside hitter Kiyah Felder leads the team offensively with 184 kills (2.30 kills per set).
- Freshman setter Kaia Barnett is the teams go-to playmaker with 559 assists (6.01 assists per set).
- Junior middle blocker Hailey Harris leads the team with 57 blocks which includes 13 solo blocks.
- The Blue Hose lead the all-time series between the two teams 8-1. These teams haven't faced off since 2018 when PC claimed a straight-set victory.

BLUE HOSE DOUBLE-DOUBLES
Presbyterian players have already recorded an impressive 15 double-doubles across their first 10 matches of the season. Junior setter
Anna Baranski has been at the forefront, achieving double-doubles in 10 of those contests, extending her streak to eight straight matches after her performance against Furman. Senior outside hitter
Hannah Rowe has also made a significant impact, tallying five double-doubles, including a standout performance against Southern Miss where she notched a career-high 19 kills along with 14 digs.
