The Blue Hose opened their 2025 slate with a series at home against the Georgetown Hoyas. PC won the first two games behind homers from
Ryan Ouzts and
Amman Dewberry.
Jacob Fields made his debut with Presby in game two where he threw for the final 2.1 innings of the night. He was able to hold batters to no hits and no runs, secure the 6-5 win for the Blue Hose and pick up his first save as a Blue Hose.

ABOUT THE BLUE HOSE
- The Blue Hose saw one of their most successful baseball seasons last year, earning the title of Big South Regular Season Champions with a 29-27 record which included an 18-6 mark against conference foes.
- The Blue Hose offense is led by junior designated hitterÂ
Jake Randolph who batted .302 a season ago. He totaled 29 hits over 96 at bats, while limiting himself to just 12 strikeouts. Additionally, senior catcherÂ
Jackson Hugus tallied a .288 batting average with 36 hits and five homers.
- On the mound, Presbyterian returns senior RHPÂ
Kyle Mueller who posted a 2-3 record with an 8.78 ERA and 27 punches last year. Also returning are sophomore RHPÂ
Tristan McGregor and junior Robboe Boykin who were an integral part of the 2024 squad.

Sean Hollister is the team's go-to reliever, posting a 2.79 ERA with 43 strikeouts and three saves last season.
SCOUTING THE PHEONIX
- Elon opened their 2025 schedule with a series against the No. 1 ranked Texas A&M Aggies. Elon was swept by their SEC opponents, despite losing game one just 4-2.
- The Pheonix offense was led by junior infielder Jackson Alford who posted a .500 batting average with five hits on 10 at bats. He also scored two runs with a double and an RBI during the series.
- Junior RHP Justin Mitrovich started on the mound in game one of the series where he threw for 5.0 innings and threw three punches while holding batters to a mere one hit and no runs.
- The Pheonix are under the direction of 29

HOLY HOLLISTER
Before the start of the 2025 baseball season, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its 20th annual Preseason Stopper of the Year Watchlist, highlighting 76 of the nation's top relief pitchers. Presbyterian College senior right-handerÂ
Sean Hollister earned a place on the prestigious list following his standout performance last season. Hollister made 26 appearances during the 2024 season, logging 42.0 innings on the bump. He recorded 43 strikeouts, notching multiple strikeouts in 12 games. A season highlight came on April 21 against High Point, when he set a career high with five strikeouts. Hollister finished the year with a 2.79 ERA and three saves.

A LOOK AT THE 2025 SLATE
February
- The Blue Hose hit the road on the 18th to take on Elon in North Carolina.
- Presbyterian returns home for three games, hosting Le Moyne on Feb. 21 & 23 and Bowling Green on the 22nd.
- A Feb. 25 road game at The Citadel leads into a four-game home series against Eastern Michigan from Feb. 28 to Mar. 2.

- PC hosts Wofford on March 4 before heading to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a series against the Crimson Tide from Mar. 7-9.
- After a home game versus The Citadel on the 11th, the Blue Hose begin Big South Conference play at Winthrop from Mar. 14-16.
- Presbyterian travels to Western Carolina on the 18th, then returns home for a conference series against Gardner-Webb from Mar. 21-23.
- The Blue Hose face Clemson again on the 26th before ending the month with a road series against UNC Asheville from Mar. 28-30.

April
- April begins with a road trip to Columbia to face South Carolina on the 1st, followed by a home conference series against Longwood from April 4-6.
- A midweek road game against Georgia on the 8th precedes a weekend off. Presbyterian then hosts Western Carolina on the 15th and travels to Radford for a series from April 17-19.
- On April 22, the Blue Hose visit Chapel Hill to battle North Carolina before closing the month with a home series against Charleston Southern from the 25th-27th.

- Presbyterian wraps up its home schedule with a series against High Point from May 2-4.
- The regular season concludes with a six-game road stretch: games at Wofford (6th) and Western Carolina (7th), a series at USC Upstate (9th-11th), and a trip to Central Florida (13th).
- The 2025 Big South Conference Tournament will take place at Truist Point in High Point, North Carolina, from May 21-24. The six-team event will determine the Big South's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
