Box Score RADFORD, Va. – The Presbyterian College baseball team (16-20, Big South: 8-5) came up just short in the opening game of its weekend series, falling to Radford (18-19, Big South: 6-7) by a score of 3-2 on Thursday night at Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first inning, Radford struck first with a run in the bottom of the second to take a 1-0 lead.
- Both sides remained quiet through the next three frames, keeping it a one-run game heading into the sixth.
- Trey Fenderson sparked the offense in the top of the sixth with a leadoff single. An error on Radford allowed Jake Randolph to reach base, moving Fenderson to second. Ryan Ouzts followed with a ground-rule double to left field that scored Fenderson and tied the game at 1-1.
- Jackson Hugus was hit by a pitch for the second time today, loading the bases, but the Blue Hose were unable to push across more runs as the inning came to a close.
- Following a scoreless seventh, the Highlanders plated two runs in the bottom of the eighth to regain the lead at 3-1.
- In the top of the ninth, Amman Dewberry came off the bench and delivered a pinch-hit solo home run over the right field wall to cut the deficit to one.
- Despite the late push, PC was unable to complete the comeback as Radford held on to take game one.

- Tyrell Williams made the start on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings while allowing just one run on five hits and recording one strikeout.
- Ryan Ouzts' RBI double in the sixth was his eighth of the season. He finished 1-for-4 at the plate, extending his hitting streak to 10 games and his on-base streak to 15.
- Trey Fenderson went 2-for-5, marking his 14th multi-hit game of the year and extending his on-base streak to 13 straight contests.
- Rhogue Wallace swiped three bases in the game.
