Pollock Welcomes O’Kevius Conway to Baseball Coaching Staff

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College head baseball coach Elton Pollock has announced the addition of O'Kevius Conway as an assistant coach for the Blue Hose.

Conway joins PC following a successful tenure as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Spartanburg Methodist College, a Division I junior college in Region 10. While with the Pioneers, he directed all position player preparation, coordinated recruiting efforts, implemented practice and game strategies, and oversaw team travel, academic progress, and year-round training programs.

"I'm excited to welcome Coach Conway to our staff," said Coach Pollock. "His energy, his ability to connect with student-athletes, and his proven track record in player development and recruiting make him a tremendous fit for our program. He is going to have a real impact here at PC."

In addition to his time at Spartanburg Methodist, Conway brings a wide range of coaching and player development experience across the collegiate, high school, and club levels. He served as head coach at Westside High School, co-owned and operated the Swingers Baseball Facility, and worked as head of player operations and development for the Reggie Williams Baseball Academy. He has also been a regional scout for USA Baseball's National Team Identification Series and a recruiter for MLB and USA Baseball's Hank Aaron Invitational.

Conway's player development work includes training top talents such as Baltimore Orioles All-Star Cedric Mullins and Miami Marlins prospect Thomas Jones. He has guided numerous athletes to collegiate and professional careers, including five Perfect Game Select Festival participants, and has spent the past five years working with RJ Cope, the No. 1 ranked left-handed pitcher in Georgia, the 47th-ranked player nationally, and a projected first-round pick in the 2026 MLB Draft.

A former player with over a decade of baseball experience, Conway has been active in the game through coaching, instruction, analytics, and scouting. He has participated in MLB's Diversity Pipeline Program, coached in the USA NTIS Champions Cup, and attended the SABR Analytics Conference, engaging directly with MLB teams on player development and baseball analytics.

Conway holds an associate degree from Spartanburg Methodist College, a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and business administration from Valdosta State University, and a master's degree in sports administration from Grand Canyon University. He is also Rapsodo certified in hitting analytics.

"I'm truly honored to come back home to Clinton and join the Presbyterian College Baseball program as the Player Development Coach," Said Conway. "It's an honor to coach under someone as storied as Coach Pollock and the incredible staff he has assembled. This community has shaped me into the man I am today. I am excited for the opportunity to pour into our student-athletes on the field, in the classroom, and in life. I am proud to represent Blue Hose Baseball and ready to get after it!"
