CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team continues its road trip this weekend, facing North Florida in a three-game set beginning on Friday (Feb. 27) at Harmon Stadium in Jacksonville.

BLUE HOSE NOTES
- Presbyterian suffered a road defeat in its midweek game on Tuesday at No. 11 Clemson, falling 6-2.
- Tucker Meredith made his first career start on the mound for the Blue Hose. Jonathan Williams made his first career pitching appearance against the Tigers.
- Amman Dewberry and Matthew Rollison lead the Blue Hose offense. Both are hitting above .400 and rank among the top hitters in the Big South.
- Sammy Vander Hill has had a great start to the season on the mound, pitching a total of 4.2 innings in two appearances for the Blue Hose. He has only given up three hits as well.
- Jonathan Williams is third on the team in hits this season with eight.
- Emory Guilford is tied for the team-lead in home runs this season with three.
- Bauer Burkart boasts a 2.45 ERA going into the weekend in 7.1 innings pitched. Eli Bowery holds a 2.08 ERA in innings as well to help lead PC on the mound.
DEWBERRY DOING THINGS
Dewberry has been on fire to begin the year for Presbyterian, spearheading the Blue Hose offense. He is hitting .417 with 15 total hits and three home runs. His 14 hits are the most on the team (third in the conference), and he also paces the Blue Hose in RBIs and slugging percentage (.750). His 14 RBIs are tied for the most in the Big South. He has five multi-hits games this season.
ROCKIN' ROLLISON
Matthew Rollison continues to have an excellent start to his sophomore campaign. He is second in the conference in batting average, batting .522 (12-of-23). He is also second in the conference in on-base percentage (.633) and has scored four runs on the season.
INCOMING TRANSFERS
Head coach Elton Pollock added eight transfers to this year's squad. James Green, Sammy Vander Hill, Caden Mason, Bauer Burkart, Emory Guilford, Ian Lindsay, Braiden Eagen, and Matthew Cannon are the new transfer additions for the Blue Hose.
NEW FRESHMAN
Nine freshmen join the Blue Hose this season. Domaine Vann, Bo Moody, Tucker Meredith, Jonathan Williams, Cole Morgan, Landon Nichols, Nathan Sofield, Jayden Adams, and Aidan Taylor join Coach Pollock's squad as incoming freshmen.
COACH POLLOCK
Head coach Elton Pollock enters his 22nd season at the helm of the Blue Hose. In 2025, Coach Pollock guided a young roster through one of the toughest non-conference schedules to date, earning a key win over No. 23 Alabama, halting their undefeated season.
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
- North Florida leads the all-time series with Presbyterian going into the weekend, winning three of the five meetings. They last faced off in 2022, where the Blue Hose took two out of three. All five games have been played in Jacksonville.
- The Ospreys enter the weekend with a 5-5 record. North Florida fell at home to USC Upstate (7-3) on Tuesday before dropping a road contest at Florida State on Wednesday (14-9).
- Matthew Farner powers the Osprey offense, slugging five home runs to begin the season. He boasts a .371 batting average and leads the team in RBIs with 12. As a team, North Florida averages 7.9 runs per game.
- Joe Mercadante leads the Ospreys in his third season as head coach.

The Blue Hose campaign will feature 24 games at Elton Pollock Field at the PC Baseball Complex, highlighted by four series against Big South opponents UNC Asheville (March 13-15), Winthrop (April 10-12), Radford (April 24-26), and USC Upstate (May 8-10).
Presbyterian will take on three SEC opponents on the road during the season: Georgia (April 7), South Carolina (April 21), and Tennessee (May 5). The Blue Hose will also travel to face ACC foe Clemson on Feb. 24. Georgia, Tennessee, and Clemson are all ranked in the top 20 of the first edition of this season's D1Baseball Top 25.
