CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College head baseball coach Elton Pollock has announced the promotion of O'Kevius Conway to Assistant Coach for the Blue Hose.

Coach Conway is in his first season with Blue Hose baseball, originally joining PC as the Director of Player Development and Recruiting Operations. Prior to this season, he had a successful tenure as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Spartanburg Methodist College, a Division I junior college in Region 10. While with the Pioneers, he directed all position player preparation, coordinated recruiting efforts, implemented practice and game strategies, and oversaw team travel, academic progress, and year-round training programs.

"Coach Conway is a rising star in our game," said Coach Pollock. "He is a tremendous addition and will prove to be a valuable asset with our players. He will help every day with the hitters, outfielders, and with recruiting for the remainder of the season. This is a well deserved promotion for him."

Conway has a wealth of coaching and player development experience spanning the collegiate, high school, and club levels. He previously served as head coach at Westside High School, co-owned and operated the Swingers Baseball Facility, and led player operations and development for the Reggie Williams Baseball Academy. Conway has trained elite talent such as Cedric Mullins of the Baltimore Orioles, Thomas Jones, and RJ Cope, guiding many more athletes to collegiate and professional careers. 

A former player with more than a decade of experience, Conway remains deeply engaged in the game through coaching, instruction, analytics, and scouting, having participated in Major League Baseball's Diversity Pipeline Program, coached in the USA NTIS Champions Cup, and attended the SABR Analytics Conference to collaborate directly with MLB organizations on player development and analytics.
