BLUE HOSE NOTES
- Presbyterian returns to league play this weekend following a 9-2 midweek loss to Wofford at home on Tuesday.

- Emory Guilford hit his fourth home run of the season in the eighth inning against the Terriers. He now leads the team in long balls for the year.

- Andrew Albertus and Nick Smith both logged a hit for the third straight game.

- Caden Mason stayed hot for the Blue Hose offensively, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored. He now has seven multi-hit games this year and two in his past three games. On the season, he leads PC with a .340 batting average.

- Two other Blue Hose players are hitting at least .300 in 2026: Amman Dewberry and Matthew Rollison.

- As a freshman, Bo Moody has been productive for Presbyterian, batting .284. He is second on the team in hits with 19.

- On the mound, Christian Charalambous leads the Blue Hose in innings pitched with 24.2. Tyrell Williams and Tristan McGregor have also exceeded the 20 inning mark, throwing 23.0 and 20.2 respectively.

- McGregor powers PC in strikeouts this year with 24. Williams is right behind with 23, while Charalambous is third with 20.

DEWBERRY DOING THINGS
Amman Dewberry has been one of the most productive hitters in the Big South. He leads PC with 26 hits on the year, ranking eighth in the league. He is seventh in the conference in RBIs with 21. He has recorded eight multi-hits games this season and leads the Blue Hose in slugging percentage.

WEEKEND PITCHING POWER
All three Blue Hose starting pitchers against UNC Asheville last weekend delivered quality starts to open Big South play. Tyrell Williams pitched a season-high 6.1 innings on March 13, allowing three runs. On March 14, Christian Charalambous threw a complete game shutout, going all nine innings. He allowed just four hits and struck out seven. His complete game shutout is the first PC complete game shutout since Brian Kehner on March 17, 2017 against Army. Finally, Tristan McGregor threw PC's second complete game in as many days on March 15, pitching all seven innings while punching out 11 (both career-highs).

INCOMING TRANSFERS
Head coach Elton Pollock added eight transfers to this year's squad. James Green, Sammy Vander Hill, Caden Mason, Bauer Burkart, Emory Guilford, Ian Lindsay, Braiden Eagen, and Matthew Cannon are the new transfer additions for the Blue Hose.

NEW FRESHMAN
Nine freshmen join the Blue Hose this season. Domaine Vann, Bo Moody, Tucker Meredith, Jonathan Williams, Cole Morgan, Landon Nichols, Nathan Sofield, Jayden Adams, and Aidan Taylor join Coach Pollock's squad as incoming freshmen.

COACH POLLOCK
Head coach Elton Pollock enters his 22nd season at the helm of the Blue Hose. In 2025, Coach Pollock guided a young roster through one of the toughest non-conference schedules to date, earning a key win over No. 23 Alabama, halting their undefeated season.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
- High Point controls the all-time series with Presbyterian with a 25-15 record since PC became a D1 program in 2008. The Panthers have won four in a row against PC dating back to 2023. The Blue Hose took two out of three that year on the road.

- High Point enters the weekend with an 11-9 overall record. The Panthers dropped two out of three last weekend to start league play at USC Upstate. On the year, High Point picked up a series win at then-No. 9 Florida. The Panthers also hold a victory against Duke.

- The Panthers rank as one of the league's best offenses in 2026, leading the Big South in home runs with 28 and in slugging percentage (.474).

- Head coach Joey Hammond leads the Panthers in his fifth season.

2026 SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN

Presbyterian will take on three SEC opponents on the road during the season: Georgia (April 7), South Carolina (April 21), and Tennessee (May 5). The Blue Hose will also travel to face ACC foe Clemson on Feb. 24. Georgia, Tennessee, and Clemson are all ranked in the top 20 of the first edition of this season's D1Baseball Top 25.
